Carbon, charcoal, and chalk on 12" x 12" gray paper. This is a really poor scan of the drawing...you can see the seam from where I patched it together...the result of scanning in a university computer lab with other students breathing down your neck in order to use the one public scanner on a campus with 20,000 students.
Request a print, however, and I'll get a better scan up.
Anyhow, "Jedza" is an anglicized spelling of a polish word that literally translates to "witch" but is often used to mean "brat", or refer to a horribly misbehaved child...of course, I could be entirely wrong - my polish is stunted at best. I'm sure I'll receive censure if I'm off base.
This is just about the strangest thing I've ever seen. He makes me shiver and laugh at the same time. I don't know if I should smile and say hello or ask him (from a safe distance of course) if he bites. It is a he isn't it?. But with all of that I absolutely love him/ her/ it.
You my friend have a wonderful, if somewhat skewed imagination. Hey! that's why I added you to my watch in the first place. Keep up the awesome work my friend.
WOW!it's absolutely stunning! so weird and familiar at once...jędza means a with but in a bad way - it's a very mean woman in general. And I have never heard that someone referred to a child as "jędza". Maybe in a way"if you misbehave, jędza will come and take you" hahaha xD
hmmm...not good, my paternal grandmother used to refer to my mother as such quite a bit...my mother probably blunted the meaning a bit
..also unfortunate, I only used the term because I liked the double meaning...if I venture outside of English again, I'll stick with Hebrew...ah well...glad you liked you liked the picture
hahahaha sweet grandma the meaning might be double or... triple, cause jędza isn't always a bad thing, it can be used in a humorous way etc Hebrew - I won't say a thing about interpretation, I promise (i don't have a slightest idea when it comes to Hebrew)
