Now that I'm working with a Digital Medium, I guess I'll give DA another round. I originally intended to delete my account, but kept it around because of my favorites gallery. Not sure how often I'll be around, so it's still pretty much best to reach me on Facebook. Indeed, feel free to spam with your own artist page etc.

You're a pretty good artist. You are right that there aren't many traditional artists on DA. Your decision to leave the site is rather understandable. I think the community culture here in general is a bit immature and tends towards sycophancy and an unwillingness to accept tough criticism.

I forgot to ask you is it a common thing here on DA people stealing artwork .And would you advise other artist to leave as you are.

I think it depends on what you consider "stealing". Many photographers here think that merely sharing or re-posting their work is stealing; in this case, I think "stealing" is extremely common. I myself don't mind if people share my artwork and don't consider it theft; my problem has been with tattoo artists who pretty much trace my work onto a person and then take credit & money for it. I don't know how common this is. I've come across four tattoos that were taken from my artwork without my permission - for all I know it could be a single tattoo artist doing it.

I wouldn't offer such advice in general. DA works fine for tons of people - it just hasn't worked for me. I think, however, that you might have a better time promoting your own artwork on a social network like Facebook or Pinterest. The DA audience is mostly younger kids into genre stuff like the Avengers, anime, video games etc. Your artwork is more traditional gallery fare - and for that, I think you'd find a more receptive audience elsewhere.
